Parrots of Africa Guide: Errol de Beer This is an epic African trip in which we visit at least five different countries in search of all the parrots this marvellous continent offers. For those who want to see all the lovebirds of the world as well, we have to fly to even more African countries. Focusing just on the 12 larger parrots, we’ll take you to West Africa (Ghana and Cameroon), East Africa (Ethiopia) and southern Africa (Namibia and South Africa). In addition to finding African Grey Parrot, the extremely rare Cape Parrot, localized parrots such as Ruppell’s and the other large parrots, we’ll also find many of the lovebirds – but to find all of them you’d need an extension. You’ll see a host of diverse scenery, hundreds of other birds, Africa’s big and small mammals, and get a better feel for Africa than most Africans have, as a by-product of parrot-finding! This tour takes you to the four corners of Africa.
